A Little Green (Edible) Fun

March 11, 2013

written by Cathy Baker, mom of two sweet tweens, who use to believe in leprechauns.

I love breaking the routine and adding a little bit of fun to ordinary, and St. Paddy’s Day gives me a great excuse! Last year I shared some of my family’s favorite ideas for celebrating – including leprechaun traps, green milk and green ‘mystery’ dinners, and green sour-patch grapes . This year, let me inspire you with a round-up of fun ideas I’ve been collecting on pinterest.

This juice not only looks cute, it sounds really yummy! Get recipe and directions from Get Creative Juice blog! (Shamrocks on outside of glasses are cut from apple slices.)

We normally eat Lucky Charms with Green Milk for breakfast at our house, but I love the cute little sign you can print up (several versions, for free!) at Thoughtfully Simple.

How about some yummy green-accented popcorn? Directions can be found at My Baking Addiction. I would throw in some green m&m’s too! 🙂

What a simple, healthy alternative from Martha Stewart.

I still like this idea of making a rainbow from fruit…and adding a bit of sweet with marshmallow cloud and Pot of Gold Rolos!

These are super cute treat bags that I’m sure would make someone smile to receive from Our Best Bites!

So go ahead…make your loved ones feel ‘lucky’ with one or more of these cute ideas! This lifetime is for memory making!
