A very memorable home for 2010…
I need to make a full disclosure here: Dear Reader Julie sent me this home and I immediately emailed the architects in Argentina for permission to run it. I never heard back.
Perhaps it was my lack of Spanish and their lack of English. Perhaps my email ended up in email oblivion.
So I decided to take my life in my own hands and run it anyway. So if I end up in an Argentinian jail somewhere, please come bail me out, because this house is worth it.
As I sit on edge of my seat, a very Happy Home Tour Friday to you!
See? Told ya!
At 5,920 square-feet, Casa Devoto was designed by Andres Remy Architects, as a private residence for a family of four in Devoto, Argentina.
This entire home is designed around the unique pool you see there.
The living, kitchen and dining rooms are open to the great outdoors and the pool.
The swimming pool was elevated from the ground and a glass wall was installed, creating a “fishbowl” from different points inside and outside the home.
The bedrooms are located on the second floor in the east wing overlooking the heart of the house, the pool. The upper floor features a spa, which includes a jacuzzi, sauna and a gym with an exterior patio.
And the pool…
A very big thank you to Andres Remy Architects of Argentina for this amazing home tour. Photography by Alejandro Peral.
Also thanks to Lori Smith of the San Diego Examiner where Julie found the home.
And of course a big thank you to Dear Reader Julie for stopping me in my tracks with this home!
