Believe

December 24, 2014

Written by Marykate O’Malley, mother of three wonderful children, Gladwyne, PA

The other night I had the privilege of attending a screening for a movie about a little boy with a big heart called Little Boy. This exquisitely beautiful movie is reminiscent of Life is Beautiful and explores the themes of faith, love, and friendship from the perspective of a child against the backdrop of World War II.

A dear friend and I watched some of the movie being filmed in Baja Mexico. And I now have a new appreciation for the role of a Director and the transformation of a set to a movie. The metamorphosis felt to me like how an artist will capture a scene and reveal a perspective I never saw when looking at the same frame. The artistry and genius of Director Alejandro Monteverde is truly exceptional. The entire movie is so visually rich that every scene felt like I was stepping into a painting. The acting is superb and this enchanting tale will leave you believing that anything is possible. More to come on this most special movie, closer to the release date of April 2015. For now a preview of  Little Boy

This movie looks like it will be wonderful. I watched It’s a Wonderful Life in its entirety last night for the first time in a long time. I became a believer and was crying so much!! Thnx for the reminder to see the world through a child’s eyes!! That is my favorite part of being a Grandma!! Merry Christmas!!
