Brilliant Author Series: Mo Willems

September 1, 2010

Mo Willems is just pure genius. His style is so fun, relaxed and witty that the adorables have no choice but to enjoy themselves. I also love that most of his characters are part of a series so we can still check in on our favorites without having to read the same book over and over (I’m most grateful for this in fact!).

Mo is not new to the adorable’s scene. He was a writer and animator on Sesame Street, where he won six Emmy Awards. The man knows his stuff!

There is a new Knuffle Bunny (Knuffle Bunny Free) coming out in October. I was so honored to see an advance copy and I just adored it. Very heartwarming.
So without further adieu…

We LOVE Mo Willems. One of our favorites is “Pigeon Wants a Puppy.” These are so funny, my boys just howl with laughter at Willems’ books every time!

We love Mo Willems over here too. He has a new series that we’ve found at the library that my 4yo’s love:

Cat the Cat, Who is That?
Let’s say Hi to Friends that Fly
Time to Sleep, Sheep the Sheep
What’s your Sound, Hound the Hound?

Love Mo Willems. My 6 year old loves to look through his book to find the characters from the other series hidden in the background. My 3 year old loves the Elephant and Piggie books.

    LOVE!

I think of Mo and that hilarious Pigeon every time I have to deal with a “boneless” child. 🙂
