Eggs-tra Special Easter

April 16, 2014

written by Cathy Baker, mom of two tween girls

Each year I like to see what new ideas are floating around the internet for Easter. I just love the creative ideas of others and I love trying new things. In my search, I’ve come across some really cute ideas to make Easter egg-stra special that I thought you might enjoy with your family too.

I think this is a cute twist on a traditional egg hunt.  I like how the fun will continue after the egg hunt as they put the puzzle together! Also, they will quickly find out if they got all the eggs if they have a missing piece! 🙂

Love this cute take on chocolate covered strawberries.  Just color some white chocolate orange. Too cute!

If you have young kids, I think this is a cute idea with using sharpies and making a game of it with dice, from  No Time for Flashcards!

My tweens thought this idea looked really fun, so this one is on our ‘to do’ list this year! Shaving cream and food coloring.

Here are some of our eggs from last year — we dyed the eggs in koolaid, used glue dots, glitter, rubber cement, stamps, yellow fuzz. Lots of experimenting!

I hope you all have a happy Easter celebrating this beautiful holiday!
