{Giveaway} Thames and Kosmos Science Set

May 30, 2011

Happy Memorial Day!  Many, many thanks for all our servicemen and women do for our country.  We remember and honor all of those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our safety. There are no words for our gratitude.

*I never know quite how to make the transition from serious thought to a happy Monday Giveaway, but here it goes…*

It’s that time of year to stock-pile (and hide away) things for your adorable to do during those rainy summer days.

(If you can sneak a little education in there too, you get extra brownie points.)

That’s why you’ll love this Thames & Kosmos Air + Water Power Science Set:

Meant for adorables aged 8 and up – but really for younger too with a little help – this set has enough parts and pieces for an unlimited amount of engrossed creative ingenuity.

This brilliant kit allows your adorable to build two different air-and-water-powered systems: the water-jet propelled cars and the hydro-pneumo (which simply means air pressure and water pressure) powered engines. The hydro-pneumo system uses a self-contained air-and-water turbine system as a motor.  How cool is that??

The 48-page booklet walks your adorable step-by-step through the creation of 15 models including a truck, excavator, radar car, tank, antique car, helicopter, motorbike, backhoe, rocket car, forklift, roadster, propeller plane, grinder, and cutting machine.  Imagine your adorables (or your adorable and a friend, who is probably also adorable) creating some really great machines!

And you can win one…

Giveaway

One lucky, lucky winner can win a Thames and Kosmos Air+Water Powerset($35) simply by leaving a comment by Friday, June 3rd.  I’ll choose the winner using Random.org and announce it on Saturday.

Because I just LOVE comments, here’s how to gain extra entries (please leave them as separate entries):

1. Do you subscribe by email or RSS to The Good Stuff Guide? I love my subscribers, so you get an extra entry. Wahoo!

2. Email 5 of your friends about The Good Stuff Guide and tell them what a rockin’ website this is. We’d love to have them join us!

3. “Like” The Good Stuff Guide on Facebook and receive the latest news and your chance at additional giveaways. (I LIKE you too!)

4. “Share” any recent post from The Good Stuff Guide on your Facebook wall by clicking ‘Share’ under our Facebook posts with links to The Good Stuff Guide site.  This makes a visit to our site just a click away for all your Facebook friends – the more the merrier…

(Feel free to do them all – that’s a total of 5 entries!)

Good luck!

I am all over this give away. I have a guy who thinks he wants to be a microbiologist when he grows up. He eats, sleeps and dreams science and inventions.
