Happy Valentine’s Day!

February 13, 2010

A hardy Valentine’s Day to you.  I’m sorry to report that this holiday is lost on me in a romantic sense, but I do love to make it fun for the adorables.

Dear Reader Julie sent me this VERY cute idea that she created for her adorable a few year’s back.  A great activity, easy,

and most importantly, it was adored by her adorable.

If you happen to have a heart punch and cardstock or contruction paper and ribbon you can make your own door hanging decoration just like this.  Or you can get out your scissors and cut the old-fashioned way, your choice.

Isn’t he super-cute?  That’s a happy guy there.

So here’s how you make it:

Julie punched the hearts from red/white/pink cardstock, wrote cute sayings on them (UR G8, L O V E, Be Mine, etc.,) stapled them to the ribbons and then hung the ribbons in a couple of doorways in the house.

VOILA!  Awesome.

So have a great Valentine’s Day everyone, whatever your plans.

I’m headed to the New York Toy Show tomorrow and I can’t wait to let you know what I find!!
