Lunch Box Inspiration

September 4, 2012

written by Cathy Baker, mom of 2 ‘tween daughters, livin’ in the Missouri Ozarks

With school back in session, I thought perhaps, like me, you could use a little inspiration for packing lunches. I simply adore these lunches I found at Studio ToutPetit blog.

Here are some more super cute ideas using divided containers from Emmy Mom blog.

And in case you needed just a few more ideas, there is actually a site called Easy Lunchboxes which has a huge photo gallery for your inspiration!

171 kids lunch ideas that aren't all sandwiches! (And counting!)

Apparently, to make fun lunches, I MUST add some 3-part divided containers to my shopping list!! I might try these ones from amazon.

Lastly, my own tip, on Sundays I usually try to make up a huge stack of Peanut Butter & Crackers and/or Tortilla Roll-Ups using cream cheese and meat.  I find these two options are easy to make up in advance and are easy to grab in the mornings when I’m making up lunches! And if you want to add a little bit more ‘fun’ that is not food to your kid’s lunch boxes, check out the ideas here.

But can I be honest, I’m still glad when it’s pizza day at school because I get a ‘break’ from making lunches! 🙂
