Mighty World Base Camp (Giveaway)

March 15, 2010

Happy Monday to you!  We had a terrific storm here over the weekend, and while we escaped with only minor debris to pick up around the yard, I saw many homes (and Whole Foods!) which lost their roofs.  We did have a tree decide to fall away from the garage, for which I am very grateful.

Okay, on to the fun stuff…

One of the highlights of Toy Fair was my surprise and delight to discover Mighty World.

Hello fun!  One of the things I love about sets like these is the **quiet** pretend play where the adorables take over a corner of a room and we moms get to go about our business.  In about forty-five minutes, we think to ourselves, “Uh-oh, it’s toooo quiet.  Maybe they’ve secretly discovered where we keep the house paint??”.  Then we skedaddle to check and lo and behold, there they are still immersed in their **quiet** play.  And we moms sneak ever so quietly out of there because we know if they see us, or hear us, or use their sixth sense to guess our whereabouts, this enchanted quiet playtime is OVER. Period.

Of course they can’t get to the house paint, it’s kept under lock and key. “What were we thinking anyway??!?”

So Mighty World is excellent for quiet fun playtime for our adorables and a little neurotic behavior by us moms.

Or maybe that’s just me…

I mean look at all this fun…

This camping set comes with all of these wonderful pieces for hours of **quiet** playtime.

This week you can win the whole kit-and-kaboodle just by leaving a comment by Friday, March 19th.

I’ll choose the winner using Random.org on Saturday, March 20th.

You can get an extra entry by emailing 5 of your friends about The Good Stuff Guide (or tweeting or leaving something about TGSG as your status update on Facebook).  As always, I trust ya!

Good luck!

If you are not the lucky winner, you can always find this at Amazon: Mighty World Complete Base Camp

I love quiet playtime! This looks like something my two could share – if, of course, they were in a ‘be nice to my sibling’ mood that day 🙂
The Calico Critters look mighty cute, but for some reason I get an error if I try to click beyond the intplay.com homepage.

Love these types of toys that allow for free play. Anything with figurines I always found was a winner.

This is easy! One of my sons just got the Lift Off Rocket and Flying Saucer for his birthday and he has played with them every day for over a month now! These toys indicate 18 months and up, he was turning 3 and is a die-hard space man and these are still totally appropriate for him at this age. In fact, I think you would almost have to be 3 to lift them and fly all around the house/outer space with them. I fully expect to get a year or more out of solid play with both of these toys for him at the rate we’re going.

When I was little, I got a play set that was cowboys, indians, a fort and all the “extras”. I loved it. I finally gave it to a neighbor boy when I was about 17. lol
