(That’s not really me up there, but it should be.)

Penitence = (noun), the state of being penitent; regret for one’s wrongdoing or sinning; contrition; repentance.

In my case, my wrongdoing and sinning stems from excessive amounts of sugar cookies, chocolate, pizza, nachos, potato skins, ice cream with hot fudge, cookies and brownies and all the other little delights of my life.  And it’s not just from the holidays – I was actually surprisingly restrained – it’s from my whole life.

But it ends now.  (Help me please!)

So here’s my plan:

  • meat, fish and veggies for lunch and dinner
  • eggs for breakfast
  • no pasta, rice, fruit (you know, all the good stuff)
  • no sugar
  • exercise 4 to 5 hours per week.

I plan to hit it hard for 2 weeks and see where it gets me.  I’m hoping to make a serious dent in the 15 pounds I need to lose.

The Running Man is hoping my chocolate deprivation will not have adverse effects on my mood.  I wish the same thing, for his sake.

Lordy knows, I can use all the help and support I can get!

So what are your plans to get going?  Do you have any diet secrets?  What’s worked for you in the past?

    Ok, I am just getting on track! I love all of your ideas and wanted to check in to see how they are working?
    Tomorrow is day 1 for me! Let’s get going.
    My goal for the year is to run a 1/2 Marathon before the end of the year!!
