Perhaps the Best Kids’ Rooms Ever…

August 7, 2009

Let’s just start calling Friday “Home Tour Friday”. Homes are so fun to see and I hope that you, like me, love the chance to get inside and see how people live.

And get great ideas.

I call this “not reinventing the wheel”.

Today we’re going to check out some awesomely creative bedrooms for 2 very lucky adorables.

The first is a stone cottage set in a magical field of flowers and butterflies:

Bedroom 1

This is a loft bed (the bed is up on the “roof”) with a desk underneath.  By moving the bed up, it creates so much space for this desk and work area.

Bedroom 2

Even the stairs create storage!

Bedroom 3

Look at how amazing this is under the bed: a chaise lounge, bookshelves and a desk.

Bedroom 4

And look how beautifully this is painted to complete the look!

Now Star Wars fans: prepare thyself!

Bedroom 5

What a mantra to see first thing in the morning!  I love the power this imbibes.

Bedroom 6

This is the “Millenium Falcon Loft bed”.  The “cockpit” in the corner is a garden pot.  Excellent idea!  Same idea here on the loft:  when the bed is raised, you have double the room.

Bedroom 7

Meet Yoda who sits on top of the loft to watch over everything and impart wisdom.  Yes, Yoda is armed too.  Hey, it’s a boy’s room.  Whaddya expect?

Bedroom 8

And of course, Hans Solo needs an asteroid field to fly through.   Here’s where this mom’s real brilliance comes in:  this bean bag holds all of the stuffed animals and the Asteroid in the background is a toy box.

And here’s the kicker:

Bedroom 9

They built it themselves!

Thanks, Amy, for letting us peek.
