What He Wanted Most…

June 10, 2010

This past February I returned home from Toy Fair loaded down with toy catalogs from tons of manufacturers.  We were headed out for a decently long airplane flight immediately after this and I asked my elder adorable which ones he’d like to bring along to pour over.  He only wanted the Playmobil catalog and friends, it was worth it’s weight in gold.  Think several hours on each of the outbound and return flight pouring over pages and pages of toys.

He quickly zeroed in on the Dragon Land line from Playmobil and said it was exactly what he wanted for his birthday.

Thinking it was only February and we had until June, I let it go.  But over the proceeding months, he has stuck to his guns and never wavered in his interest.  So I gathered the grandparents, the aunt, the uncle, and the Running Man and I to go in on the whole thing together.  (BTW, I like the one-gift birthdays – he also receives so much stuff from friends, that it’s nice to contain it, even if only a little.)

Friends, this Dragon Land is really cool.

So I unleashed the adorable with the camera to photograph his favorite parts so he could show you.

Here’s the whole kit and kaboodle – there are 3 different pieces here (see below for info).

I asked my elder adorable to tell us about his favorite parts…

“This is the cave that opens and closes.”

“This is the dragons and the catapult jail trying to attack the castle.”

“This is the cross-bridge to get to the tower.”

“This is the inside of the tower.  You can store stuff in here.”

“This is the catapult that shoots rocks.  There’s also a jail inside.”

“This is my little brother playing with the whole castle.  I thought he was cute.”

“Here is me with the castle.  I took this myself.”

“This is the fire that really lights up on top of the castle.”

“I thought it would be pretty cool to set up my knights in front of the castle.”

“I wanted to set up the bears and my pirate ship and took a picture of the whole thing.”

And there you have it friends.

So here’s what’s involved…  I have to hand it to Playmobil – this is a killer set.

OMG!!! This is great. My little guy just did dragons for his 3rd birthday. This might have to be on the list for Christmas! Thanks for the walk through.
