I’ve had the privilege of volunteering at this most special home for those dealing with chronic homelessness. Founded by Sister Mary Scullion, Philadelphia’s own Blessed Mother Theresa, this amazing non-profit has not only housing facilities, but also provides employment, has a Wellness Center and Technology and Learning Center.

Project HOME empowers those dealing with homelessness, and is also a tireless advocate fighting again and again for those who have no voice, who most need it. And their work doesn’t stop there, they work to rebuild low income neighborhoods and in every way get to the root cause of the issues.

My last visit to Project HOME was only a couple of weeks ago. There was palpable excitement with the upcoming visit of Pope Francis to Philadelphia.  Pictures of the Mary Undoer of Knots Grotto project were displayed throughout as well as pictures of Pope Francis.

And today, Project HOME is hosting a Mercy and Justice day throughout Philadelphia! Find out how you can get involved and support this tremendous cause by clicking here!
