Summer for your Front Door

June 12, 2014

written by Cathy Baker, mom of two middle-school girls, living life in the Ozarks of Missouri

This year I’ve been trying to hang something cheerful on my front door throughout the year.  Thus, when I was searching pinterest for ideas, I came across some really cute and fun creations! Take a look:

lemon wreath

I just love the freshness of this wreath from A Diamond in the Stuff blog.  I mean fresh squeezed lemonade just screams summer!!

Watermelon Birthday Party wreath made out of fabric scraps! Too cute! Via Kara's Party Ideas KarasPartyIdeas.com

Watermelon and summertime, they go hand in hand! Such bright cheerful colors to brighten the front door. Made with fabric scraps, found this idea at Kara’s Party Ideas! 🙂

Blue Laguna Shell & Succulent Wreath by GreenThumbGarage on Etsy, $135.00

This wreath you can actually purchase on etsy! It made me think of my daughters’ fourth grade teacher who loves succulents, and whose blog adventures always make me smile at This Vintage Grove.

cute summer door decor. Could make bunting flags for spring and summer then switch it out but keep the frame the same

How adorable is this with an old frame, pinwheels and mini-garland I found at Funky Polkadot Giraffe! ?! I might even let my girls make this for their bedroom doors.

beach, nautical summer wreath #wreath #summer

This would be fun to make from beach souvenirs you collected on a trip!

Love this summer wreath, because I don't actually plan on gardening or watering plants, I just want the UPS man to *think* I do that

I think this is a creative wreath using an old garden hose! So next time your hose springs a leak, upcycle it into a cute decoration for your door!

This wreath just says “this house knows how to do summer fun!” LOVE IT! (from Capital B Blog.)

I hope your summer is full of things that make you smile!!

Where can I find a red garden hose? HA! I’ve never seen one!!!

Can’t wait to see a picture of your wreath!! I know, I wondered same thing about a red garden hose! Apparently they exist somewhere! Still think it would be cute with a green one too! 🙂
