Today, were headed out to 1,600 acres of oak-covered land in California’s Santa Ynez Valley.  This barn-styled home is easy on the eyes – I can just imagine living there!

So without further adieu…

Isn’t she gorgeous?

Someday I soo need these barstools in my home.  They are antique tractor seats, fyi.

The color palette was inspired by the surrounding land: warm off-whites, various browns and sage greens, paired with subdued red accents, such as kitchen cabinets whose crimson paint is mellowed with an earth-toned glaze.  The coffee table is an antique Indian cart.

I just love this room!

Oh that view!  Floors and cabinets are built from reclaimed tobacco-barn oak to give the appropriate rustic feel.

Sliding closet doors mirror the look of the home’s exterior barn doors.  That’s a reclaimed wrought-iron gate for the headboard.  In addition to the warm color palette and gorgeous furnishings, t’s the beamed, vaulted ceiling and that make this room spectacular for me.

Here, neutral-colored tiles set off the warm tones of reclaimed wood, while complementing an array of unique mirrors and light fixtures.  Splendid.

I love the white bedding, it feels so pure and western.

Again, these cabinets are masterful, without being too much.

I had to save the bunk room for last.  Perfect!

Today we’re heading to the northwest to see a beautiful family home in Portland.

This is the entry to the home.  Love, love, love that lighting fixture, though it really should be called art.  The mirror treatments are stunning.

How elegantly cool is this room??  I can, however, see my adorables hanging from the lamp.  The wood floors are gorgeous!

Dining room.  Again, uber-cool.

I love this kitchen!  Sleek, white, and I love the marble-tiled walls.

Another look.  The glassed cabinets that open to the dining room are gorgeous.

Family room.  Have I talked about the light fixtures in this home enough?  These are art!  The sofa is also incredible.

Library.  Very masculine, but inviting as well.

How beautiful is this office and music room?  Love the architectural detail with the open beams.

You all know about my thing with laundry rooms and this gorgeous wainscoted cabinet is gorgeous and hides….

Ta-dah!  The washer and dryer.  Now where are the piles of clothes?  (I guess that’s just at my house.)
