<p>For today&#8217;s Home Tour, we are in for a special treat.</p>
<p>A dear reader (thank you!) alerted me to these wonderful craftsman.</p>
<p>Okay, deep breaths (I&#8217;m saying this for my own benefit).  Here we go&#8230;</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="size-medium wp-image-2050 aligncenter" title="treehouse" src="http://www.thegoodstuffguide.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/treehouse-413x370.jpg" alt="treehouse" width="413" height="370" /></p>
<p>This is the playroom of <em>some very lucky</em> adorables.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/entrance.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="entrance" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/entrance.jpg?w=400&amp;h=543" alt="" width="400" height="543" /></a></p>
<p>A swing, a ladder for the armoire, forget the adorables: <em>I</em> want to play here.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/entrance2.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="entrance2" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/entrance2.jpg?w=500&amp;h=400" alt="" width="500" height="400" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">The armoire is HUGE and was designed to fit within the overall look of the room.  Also wired for the family&#8217;s flatscreen, it packs a wallop of storage space.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/stairs.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="stairs" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/stairs.jpg?w=400&amp;h=602" alt="" width="400" height="602" /></a></p>
<p>The rope detail at the top of the ladder and the drybrushing on all the hardware was added in order to pull in elements from the treehouse which is on the other side of the room.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/topladder.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="topladder" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/topladder.jpg?w=500&amp;h=373" alt="" width="500" height="373" /></a></p>
<p>Details, details.  Everywhere.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storagespace.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="storagespace" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storagespace.jpg?w=500&amp;h=346" alt="" width="500" height="346" /></a></p>
<p>Games, toys, puzzles, we&#8217;d have this all organized.  But we&#8217;d have room for more&#8230;</p>
<p>This is the platform on the other side of the room.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/chairs.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="chairs" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/chairs.jpg?w=500&amp;h=386" alt="" width="500" height="386" /></a></p>
<p>Hello!  Art center, stage, you name it &#8211; this is FUN.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/fromthetreehouse.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="fromthetreehouse" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/fromthetreehouse.jpg?w=500&amp;h=332" alt="" width="500" height="332" /></a></p>
<p><span id="more-253"> </span></p>
<p>Here&#8217;s more ingenuity: once the adorables  have had their fill with the table, it simply folds up into the wall.  The underside becomes a magnetic chalk board.  Can you imagine?</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/magnetic.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="magnetic" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/magnetic.jpg?w=450&amp;h=700" alt="" width="450" height="700" /> </a></p>
<p>In the floor these brilliant designers have added storage.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storageopen.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="storageopen" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storageopen.jpg?w=500&amp;h=368" alt="" width="500" height="368" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: left;">I&#8217;m seriously drooling.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storage1.jpg"><img class="aligncenter" title="storage1" src="http://kidtropolis.files.wordpress.com/2008/09/storage1.jpg?w=400&amp;h=602" alt="" width="400" height="602" /></a></p>
<p>Each of the drawers is lined with carpet (matching the floor) so nothing gets broken.</p>
<p>This amazing room was designed and built by the wonders at KidTropolis in Vienna, VA.  You can contact them at <a href="http://www.kidtropolisbuild.com/" target="_blank">www.kidtropolisbuild.com</a>.</p>
<p>A special thank you for the use of their photos.</p>
