This is the Life…

June 22, 2010

Okay, you know when you have one of those uber-special days and your cheeks hurt from smiling so much?

That was our Father’s Day.

Lisa invited our quad of four families to her parents home while they happen to be vacationing in France.

And they happen to have a killer home.

And they happen to have a pool.

And, oh boy, we had the best time in it.

My younger adorable’s get-up for the pool.

*This is sooo going in his wedding slideshow someday.*

Wendy picked up these sweet tie cupcakes to celebrate the four daddios of our group.

Then we started our pool marathon.

And we girls just relaxed directly next to the guacamole…

(I told you it was a killer home…)

and let the dads do the work.  Happy Father’s Day!
Judging by this photo, it doesn’t look like they mind.

Happiness, thy name is Boden.

Wait, 3 adorables jumping into the hands of one daddio?  How is that going to work?

Isn’t this gorgeous?  The food was delicious to boot.

Grilldaddy Magnus.

Mom, I just can’t quite work up the energy to get all the way up on this chair.

Nevertheless, back to the pool it is…

Sometimes it’s hard to tell they’re not brothers.  I’m always kissing the head of the wrong adorable.  Mine is on the left.  From the back, he looks just like the adorable on the right.  Wet, they all look the same.

Chaos ensued when it was time to dole out cupcakes.

“I want the red tie.  I want the blue tie. I want the red tie with blue dots.”

And that was just my younger adorable.

Dude, it rocks to be almost three.

These are actual real-life brothers. Gimme some lovin’.

After more than 5 hours in the pool, it was movie time…

And my elder laying flat to eat.  He was obviously wiped.

But at 8:30 pm, a little sugar high revived the no-shirt bunch.

Are you wondering what’s in the water that we all had boys?

And nine hours after we arrived, we packed our (own) adorables back into the car and they were both snoring by the time we hit home.  And we carried their lifeless, dead weight selves up to bed.

Running Man reports being sore after all that pool time – this from my Iron Man.

So countless thanks to dear friends, and their dear, dear parents who allowed us to invade their home.

Whaddarrya doing next Sunday??

I love the laying on his side eating shot. We had a day like that up at the lake in Michigan today. Kids so tired, they could barely eat dinner. All while we sat back and caught up with old friends. Days like these are ones to hold on to…..
