Tulip Time!

We arrived home from a week in Colorado and WHAM!  Everything was in full bloom.  Trees are all flowering, lawns are like rich green carpet, and the spring flowers are out in force.

I spotted these gorgeous tulips at a home near mine today.

Seeing this, it makes me so sorry that I didn’t plant any these past falls.

I buy bags of bulbs from Costco, and (I’m very sorry to admit) they are still in the same bags when winter hits.

This fall, I tell you, I’ll be planting more – especially the double pink variety in the foreground.

Almost like a Sarah Bernhardt Peony (my favorite), but earlier to get you all excited for summer to come.

Happiness in a flower bed!
