Little Bundles of Joy!

February 11, 2010

I have a couple newborn gifts that are proven winners.  All are monogrammed because what new mommy (me included) doesn’t love to see their new baby moniker plastered all over everything?

1. The Lands End Tote in size Medium (spring for the zippered top) is the best car diaper bag ever.  Then it becomes the soccer/ballet gear bag later.  Price – $27.50 and $5 for monogramming.  Just imagine this bag with the cutey-pie’s name instead of “Garden”.

2. Monogrammed burp cloths.  Nothing brought a smile to my face like whipping these out to wipe drool.  The ladies at yoga make fun of me because I still bring them as my “towel” because they just make me happy.  Find them at Baby Stiches.com.

3. Name Puzzles are a great way to teach children how to spell their name.  It’s also all theirs. Graham Crafters will customize any name for you and ship anywhere (I’ve even asked for overseas several times.)

4.  Personalized pacifiers – How cute are these?  They are good pacifiers too, sized by age so you littlest adorable gets just the right fit.  Find them at MyPacifiers.com.

5. Easy Expression Hands-Free Pumping Bra: Now this is the Mack-daddy of mommy helpers (and I’m hoping there are no puns in what I just wrote).  I’m going to show you the photo and sit back and wait for you to scream “Brilliant” at your screen.

Ready?

Yes, I know!  I wish they had this when my adorables were young too.  (And mine aren’t all that old either!)

I have heard great reviews of the pumping bra, though never used one myself. I am a HUGE fan of the Land’s End totes. I have one that I’ve been using (on and off) since college, and a super gigantic one (they probably call it ‘extra-large’ in the catalog…) that we use quite a bit. It is perfect for the kids’ blankets/lovies/leapsters/DVDs and any random other stuff we forget to pack when we travel. It fits between their seats in the minivan, the oldest can reach what he or his sister may need… life (on the road) is good!

Love the Lands End totes. We use them for EVERYTHING. I loved my monogrammed clothes. I felt so fancy. Poor second child, we just make him use his sisters. No time to be fancy.

a nursing bra can be used if you just hook it over the side of the medela with some minor adjustments, assuming you arent running or doing too much physical activity while pumping!
