Meet Faraun (Giveaway)

April 13, 2010

Do you know about Schleich animals?

I love them because they are gorgeously hand painted and durable, but also because they are miniature replicas of actual animals.  So your adorable can study them to get an accurate idea of what an animal really looks like.

But my most favorite is that they will buy you hours and hours of pretend play.  Really good thoughtful play too: creating zoos and barn scenes and African safari treks and on an on.

And don’t even get me started on the Schleich knights.  They are works of art and require their own post.

Today its dragons, which also happen to be huge around our house lately.  And probably yours too, if your adorables have seen the movie How To Train Your Dragon.

This is Faraun, Schleich’s newest dragon:

Faraun is a she-dragon, who cares for her baby and lives in a mythical cave high in the mountains.    This is a great dragon folks – and your adorables will put her to use immediately.

Giveaway:

Just leave a comment for a chance to win a Faraun ($49 value) for your adorables by Friday, April 16th.  Winner will be chosen on Saturday the 17th using Random.org.  Easy as pie.

Good luck!

If you are not the lucky winner, you can find one at Meijer.com (the best price I found and it was my grocery store growing up, so you can trust it).

***UPDATE*** #12 Christie was the winner.  Congrats!

In the interest of full disclosure, I received a Faraun dragon from Schleich so I could get a good look to tell you about it.  I know, it’s a tough job…

The Schleich dinos and animals are the best! Often, you can find discontinued ones for a discounted price in the Target clearance bins.

we have a couple of the knights and their horses too. I second the thought they have earned their keep by giving me free time with 9yo is doing pretend play. The dragon would be a lovely addition.

Boy would my Grans love this dragon. We all saw the movie over Easter break How To Train Your Dragon. We adults loved it as much as the little ones. My Grans love the dinosaurs and all of the other animals as well. This would be a great one to have.
