Minnesota Bound…
June 24, 2011Happy Happy Home Tour Friday to you!
I’m always happy to get back to routine, and I missed this Home Tour last week. I hope you are as eager as I am to get going.
Today we’re visiting Minnetonka, Minnesota, outside of Minneapolis to see a contemporary home that just wowed me.

This is such interesting architecture to me – and the stone is quite a statement.

Look close and notice the “quilted” (? – how else would you describe?) front doors.

Notice the little pops of color in each room of this home.

And the stunning architecture.

And this kitchen!

I just love this little alcove family room adjacent to the kitchen.

I can imagine this gets a lot of use on chilly Minnesota evenings.

This screened porch is would be a huge favorite for us.

The lower level continues the WOW!

Look at all the seating going on here: comfy sectional sofa, bar stools, game table, raised seating.

I imagine this sectional faces a huge (!) bigscreen TV.
Which room was your favorite?

on June 24, 2011 8:56 amI would love the screened in porch as well. Also that alcove by the kitchen with seating and a fireplace is an excellent idea for entertaining. Those large windows are a great idea to let in as much natural light as possible.
